The heat treatment purpose - improvement of quality and a nutrition value of a product. Addition of a certain amount of heat in combination with high temperature of air and intensive infrared radiation during the certain period of time will change physical, chemical and biological properties of a product. The following processes are used:
1. Sterilization Sterilization means decrease in natural toxins, reduction of quantity of microorganisms, bacteria and insects. In the course of sterilization temperature of a product makes 100 - 110 °C that does not change the grain size, but eliminates germination.
2. Tostitrovaniye Tostirovaniye means an inactivation of the nutrients having negative effect, for example, decrease of the activity of inhibitors of trypsin in integral soybeans. In the course of a tostirovaniye temperature of a product makes 130 - 140 °C that considerably increases nutritional value of some products therefore soybeans, peas, colza seeds, a lupine, etc. become an excellent forage.
3. Kleysterization Kleysterization means change of structure of starch in different types of products that does starch soluble in water, providing access to the splitting enzymes and increasing quality of production of granules by decrease in risk of formation of lumps. Kleysterization demands a constant control of temperature of a product, time of swelling and moisture content. Depending on a product temperature changes from 60 - 90 °C and to 120 + °C, for some types of starch.
4. Protection of protein Protection of protein means prevention of microbic decomposition of protein in a stomach at cattle that leads to loss of energy and formation of methane. Heat treatment of a product happens at a temperature up to 160 - 170 °C that allows proteins to get directly into a digestive tract of animals where they are digested and as a result receive more effective use of protein.
5. Drying "Danstoster" everything to a bowl is used for drying of products with the high and very high content of moisture. HTST - process (High Temperature Short Time - high temperature within a short period of time) at the air temperature of 700 - 1000 °C and lasting from 1 to 10 minutes has optimum energy consumption of 715 - 930 W/kg on steam formation. This process of drying demands use of the corresponding block of cooling for removal of heat and steam after processing of a product.
